Program Description
Physiotherapy is an allied health-care profession. Physiotherapy is not only used to prevent illness or physical injury but also to help people gain strength and mobility after an illness.
The Diploma in Physiotherapy focuses on the application of therapy practice, knowledge and skill to prevent problems from various disorders related to body movement. The course is for three years and the typical modules may include professional and clinical practice, Musculoskeletal physiotherapy, cardiovascular respiratory physiotherapy, neurological physiotherapy, kinesiology and social care. With the help of a qualified physiotherapist students will learn therapeutic exercises to help treat patients suffering from illness, accidents or ageing.
